  1. Oct. 1- India’s Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) came into effect on 1 October. Under this pact, ~92.2% of India’s tariff lines get zero-duty market access in EFTA countries. The agreement aims to attract $100 billion in FDI over 15 years and generate 1 million direct jobs in sectors like manufacturing and services.

  3. Oct. 1- On 1 October, India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) floated draft changes to leasing norms.   • RBI has lowered its CPI inflation forecast for FY 2025–26 to 2.6%, down from 3.1%.
